Kyiv Residents Earned UAH 400,000 of Profit from Solar Energy

More than 66,000 kWh of electricity was generated by private solar power plants of Kyiv households in the first quarter of 2019. This is enough to satisfy the needs in electricity of 330 average Kyiv apartments.

Kyiv Energy Services Company, an energy supplier, paid almost UAH 400,000 to the metropolitan solar stations’ owners. According to the Company, more than 100 households of Kyiv independently generate electricity for their own needs and sell the energy surplus at the “green” tariff. In addition, the Company’s representative notes that installation of home solar power stations in big cities is a global trend, which is becoming more and more popular in the capital of Ukraine.
