Ambassador of India to Ukraine, Mr. Partha Satpathy, told DT.UA that Indian business increased investment in Ukraine.
The diplomatic official noted that the growth of his country’s economy would require to increase its energy potential, including the development of renewable energy sector. Since achieving energy independence is one of Ukraine’s key priorities, this sector has a considerable potential for cooperation among the countries.
“Today, India is developing renewable energy very rapidly – it has already achieved capacity of more than 75 GW, which is more than 20% of the total installed capacity. Our equipment is high quality and, of course, we are ready to cooperate with Ukraine to develop the “green” energy sector here. Several Indian companies are already planning to enter your market and invest up to USD 250 million in the development of this sector in the near future”, the Ambassador said.
