Chinese thin film manufacturer Hanergy has announced its plans to take part in an ambitious architecture project. Its solar modules will be integrated in 150,000 square meters of “sky bridge” to cover a large project under construction in Shanghai.
According to the architect project, this “laced bridge” will serve as a design rooftop covering to link a dosen of skyscrapers. It’s going to be the world’s largest aluminium rooftop. The “bridge” will look like a huge cloud that will cover offices, entertainment spaces, shops, luxury hotels and conference halls.
Hanergy reported that it had started the project’s second phase of construction that would last up to 5 years. The PV installation with a total capacity of 1 MW will mainly consist of 125-W CIGS modules.
