China will build an orbiting power plant till 2030. The Chinese Space Agency’s representatives reported that this unit would generate electricity from the sun’s rays and send the energy to Earth. It may become a constant and almost inexhaustible source of electricity for our planet.
Testing this revolutionary technology is planned for the period from 2021 to 2015 in the stratosphere. To work on the project, an experimental base has already been established in the city of Chongqing.
China’s budget allocated for space exploration – the world’s second largest after the USA – makes up $ 8 million annually. This allows the country to set global goals in the space sector, trying to sidestep its unchanged rivals – Russia and the United States.
Also China claims that it plans to be the first country to build a base on the moon using 3D printing technology.
