Audi and E.ON energy company will construct the largest Europe’s rooftop solar PV system. It will be installed on the roofs of two logistics centers of Audi Hungaria plant in Hungary.
With an annual output of more than 9.5 GWh of electricity, the solar power plant will consist of 35,000 solar modules. This corresponds to the annual energy requirements of 5,000 households. Thanks to the “green” electricity, about 6,000 tons less carbon dioxide will be annually released into the air.
The construction of the solar PV system is planned to be started in August 2019, and it will start generating electricity at the beginning of 2020.
