Atmosfera Company: “For vendors, we have turned into a “business class ticket” to the market of Ukraine”

Founded in 2007, Ukrainian company Atmosfera, the leader in distribution of renewable energy equipment and energy efficient solutions, was founded in 2007, though ATMOSFERA trade mark was registered 15 years ago, in 2004.

Today, Atmosfera’s dealer network includes more than 200 companies both in Ukraine and abroad – in Poland, Moldova and Belarus.

Olexander Omelchenko, Director of External Communications at Atmosfera Company, has answered the questions asked by IB Centre.

Please tell us about the main changes that have taken place in Atmosfera since the beginning of 2019? What goals set for this year have been already achieved?

Several large EPC projects are to be implemented by the end of this year. 2019 has become a breakthrough year in this direction. We have launched the industrial power plants service. Despite the situation with the laws on the “green” tariff, we have managed to handle it and keep our pace of sales in the Residential sector.

What is your Company’s contribution to the sustainable energy sector of Ukraine?

Reliable supplies of energy equipment without which it is impossible to develop renewable energy. We provide a full range of services in both the Residential and Utility Scale sectors – from consulting and design to logistics, installation and servicing. We have created our own operating mechanisms and models of work in this market which, as we can see, have become the industry standards.

How many projects have you implemented this year? Has their number increased compared to the same period in 2018?

Compared to last year, it has grown significantly. In the EPC sector, we have about 100 MW of projects at different stages of implementation, at least half of which we finish by the end of this year. In the Residential sector, we supply the demand of at least 1/5 of the market as we did last year.

What have been the main achievements of Atmosfera over the past two years?

Despite the growth of competition, inclusive of “gray” import operators, we continue holding positions in the Residential sector. They have succeeded in the EPC sector, though they have been working towards this goal for years. And we have become the high-profile system player on the market – not by the perception of our own, but judging from our vendors’ attitude towards us. In the past couple of years, we have become a “business class ticket” for vendors to the Ukrainian market☺

Today, the market is moving towards automation of all business processes via applying artificial intelligence. What do you think about digitization in the sustainable energy sector? In your opinion, will digitization be a useful tool for the industry or not?

Of course it will! Power industry that requires fine control at the level of the total energy system is sure to be operated by automated systems. As for our business, we also expect new automation tools to emerge. We have not reached artificial intelligence yet, but in terms of automation of business procedures and processes, we are already standing both feet on this path.

In your opinion, is the global switch to 100% renewable energy is possible?

No. But it’s possible to completely refuse to use hydrocarbon fuel. I believe in thermonuclear process.

What Atmosfera Company is going to showcase at SEF 2019? What are your expectations from this event?

First of all, we are going to present our Company, its advantages, technological solutions and business standards, and also our business partners.
