According to the results of the first half of the year, almost 270 MW of renewable energy sources are installed in Ukraine. Of these, in the II quarter of 2018, the generation of energy from renewable sources is 110 MW.
The most popular among Ukrainians are solar power stations and make up 206 MW of total capacity.
The second place of this rating is occupied by wind power plants with a number of 50 MW.
During this time, 7 MW of electricity from biogas was also installed, 5 MW of biomass was received less, and the smallest number has a hydropower plants was 1 MW.
Comparing the indicators of the first half of 2017 and 2018 in the proportion of 127 MW: 269 MW, respectively, we see that the generation of electricity at a “green” tariff over the period of 6 months of 2018 increased more than 2 times from the previous year and exceeded the total capacity in 2017 p. (257 MW).
As a result, from 2015 to the first quarter of 2018, 677 MW of renewable energy in Ukraine was put into operation, and more than 650 million euro was invested.
According to the “green” tariff introduced:
for 2015 – 30 MW;
for 2016 – 121 MW;
for 2017 – 257 MW;
for the first half of 2018 – 269 MW.
Active development of renewable energy in Ukraine brings comforting and progressive results and once again proves that this branch is the basis of energy supply for the world’s largest economies.
