According to the State Department on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, 7,450 private households installed solar power stations at the end of 2018. Its total capacity is 157 MW.

In 2018, 151 million euros invested in Ukrainian solar energy stations.
The largest number of solar power stations was registered in Dnipropetrovsk region – 882. Next rating continues the Kyiv region – 838 stations. The third place is the Ternopil region, which has 664 stations. The Ivano-Frankivsk region has 484 stations and the TOP-5 list completes Kirovograd region with the number of 469 solar stations.
The largest number of capacities was registered in Dnipropetrovsk region.

- 19,59 MW – Dnipropetrovsk region
- 17 MW – Ternopil region
- 13,37 MW – Kyiv region
- 12,42 MW – Kirovograd region
- 10,75 MW – Ivano-Frankivsk region
According to CEO of IB Centre Europe Vitaliy Daviy, in addition to large scale projects, the segment of small solar stations, including outsourcing, is also rapidly developing.
He also noted that according to results of 2018, the capacity of solar power plants in Ukraine will increase to 1.2 GW.
